The HRDC hereby informs Employers and MQA-Registered Training Institutions (RTIs) that the refund process under the Training Grant System has been revised following amendments brought to the MQA Act.
A new Modus Operandi for the refund of training costs for Non-Award courses which are being conducted by RTIs and Employers, will be operational as from 1st April 2020 as follows: |

The HRDC will continue to refund the training costs for non-award courses based on the existing course approval as follows:

As from 1st April 2020, MQA Approval of Course will not be a requirement for refund of training cost
RTIs are required to seek approval of course fees from the HRDC at least 10 working days before the start of the respective courses. Details of courses and trainers must be submitted on the prescribed form available at www.rti.hrdc.mu |

The current process for refund of training costs is applicable. |
As from 1st April 2020, MQA Approval of Course will not be a requirement for refund of training cost.
Employers are required to submit the G1 application form together with all relevant documents/information on the existing HRDC Online Training Grant System 10 working days before the start of respective courses to seek prior approval of the cost structure from HRDC. (Note: All other conditions and criteria for eligibility under the Training Grant System remain unchanged) |
